Once upon a time, there was a little star in the night sky that no one had ever noticed before, for the little star had always been outshined by the other, brighter stars.
"Why doesn't anyone love me?" the little star cried.
"But I do!" cried someone else.
The little star turned around and saw another star, even dimmer than itself, just below him.
"I love you!" cried the other star again.
"But why?" cried the little star, "I'm not that bright, I'm not big, I'm barely an average star!"
"But you're brighter than me, I'm only a neutron star, and anyway, I like your light the best. Out of all the other stars in the night sky, I like your shine the most," explained the other star.
The little star began to cry then and even though the star was still not the brightest in the sky, it was happy now, because it knew that someone loved it, and that was all that mattered.
